Museums are known for their exhibits of artistic, historical and cultural value. They have such an importance in our lives, so it’s only fitting that our Museum Rug Collection does the same for your home. Patterns and colours are mixed together to create a textured, engaging rug that can be displayed in any room of your home. Depending on the size, the Museum rug can fit into any room and bring colour and life. There are so many ways to use a Museum rug around your home.

Our Museum Rug Collection has both the more traditional rug layouts that will fill up to half a room, as well as the very popular hallway runners. The more traditional layouts can range from 230cm in length to 4m in length. The hallway runners can get up to 5 metres in length and 80cm in width. The runners are particularly popular with people looking for rugs Melbourne and rugs Brisbane. There are even round Museum rugs that range from 150cm to 240cm in diameter, perfect for a small sitting area around your home, whether it be in your hallway, living room or even a bedroom. The more traditional rectangular rugs would be more suited to larger rooms and can withstand high foot traffic. These rugs are designed to be seen and would make great focal points in your layout.

Our Museum rugs use a lot of polypropylene, which is similar to cotton. It’s a strong material that is also easy to clean. It's a man made material, however it’s just as good quality as natural fibers such as wool rugs and cotton rugs.  A quick vacuum would be able to get all the daily dust buildup. The colour is also able to hold just as well as cotton, so you don’t have to worry about the wear and tear affecting it for years to come. While some might prefer the natural cotton fibers to the polypropylene, both are similar in their longevity, quality and affordability.

We’ve seen the Museum Rug Collection shine in a number of areas around the home. Our favourite would be the living room as it can often compliment a wide variety of decor and ornaments. A bedroom would also be an ideal place, adding to your room theme as well as that extra softness under your feet. If you’re going for a Bohemian theme, this rug will pair perfectly. With its multicoloured hues and diamond emblems, it embodies the Boho style. It can bring colour to your sitting areas, especially if there’s a lot of light that can spread the colour around the room.
